Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA)
The new guidelines for ONCA will provide Ontario not-for-profit corporations, including charitable corporations, with a modern legal framework to meet the needs of today’s not-for-profit sector. It sets out how they are created, governed, and dissolved.
In Brief
As of October 19, 2021, ONCA is in force and automatically applies to all Ontario not-for-profit corporations. Existing not-for-profit corporations, previously governed under the Corporations Act, have three years to make any necessary changes to their incorporating and other documents to bring them into conformity with ONCA.

As such we will be reviewing our bylaws, director provisions, and membership guidelines to ensure they are in line with the act and are currently relevant. A separate meeting will be called for members to review and approve the changes.

Refer to this link for more information on ONCA.
